Meet Our Founder &
Executive Director
Following the loss of her 16-year-old daughter, Shea-Lynn, in 2021, Brenda McGaw founded Shea-Lynn's Butterfly Effect to help ensure more people get home safely.
With more than 13 years of experience supporting youth, families, and individuals in the social service sector, Brenda has always been passionate about helping people create positive change. Today, she leads the organization's educational programs, community partnerships, and long-term vision, combining her professional experience with her family's story to inspire safer choices on our roads.
Brenda believes every small choice matters and that honest conversations and education have the power to help more people get home safely.

Our volunteer Board of Directors provides governance, strategic direction, and oversight, helping ensure Shea-Lynn's Butterfly Effect remains accountable, sustainable, and focused on its mission.
