Extending Learning Beyond the Presentation

 

The Get Home Safe Memorial Award builds on the learning that begins with our iPledge presentation, giving students an opportunity to turn awareness into action. Through personal reflection and creative expression, students reinforce what they've learned, consider how they'll make safe choices, and explore how they can positively influence the people around them.

Program Details

Audience: Grade 9 students

Available At: Participating junior high schools

School Commitment: Partner with Shea-Lynn's Butterfly Effect to deliver the iPledge presentation annually.

Award Includes: School recognition and a fully funded driver education program.

Cost to Schools: Free

Why It Matters

A presentation can start an important conversation. This award keeps it going.

By creating a project that reflects their own ideas and commitment to safety, students move beyond simply hearing the message. They begin thinking about how their choices can influence the people around them.
