Inspired by artists like Paul Brandt and Rascal Flatts, he uses his music to address real-life issues, including substance abuse and mental health, particularly within Northern Alberta and Saskatchewan reserves.

As the first ambassador for the Veterans Association Food Bank in Alberta, Stirling founded the Stirling John Foundation for Youth Empowerment, mentoring young people in underfunded schools. He has received numerous accolades, including a 2024 JUNO nomination and multiple awards from the Western Canadian Music Awards, Country Music Alberta, the Gospel Music Association, and the 7 Teachings Okimaw Awards. His album “Made in the Image of Love” embodies his commitment to delivering uplifting messages of hope.
